Demolition, Temporary Works
Berkley Demolition Ltd was awarded the contract to undertake the Asbestos removal, temporary works and demolition works at 29-39 Rosebery Avenue in December 2014.
The work started in January 2015 for an initial period of 13 weeks. The works consisted of installing a designed, temporary propping scheme from the ground floor up to the fifth floor, façade retention of the two upper floors and second floor. The roof slabs to two buildings were removed along with various floor slabs, spine walls and staircases through out the buildings.
Berkley Demolition also cut out for and installed 238 padstones ready for the new steel work across all four buildings and various door openings and riser openings.
