Demolition, Temporary Works

Berkley Demolition Ltd was awarded the contract to undertake the ‘Cut and Carve’ Demolition of Roman House, which will form an extension to The Grand Hotel.

The works included temporary propping, removal of the roof, the majority of the brick façade, removal of staircases and walls. Our in house concrete cutting division undertook the forming fifty riser and lift shaft openings.

All of the incoming services were isolated and temporary water and power supplies re-installed on every other floor.

All waste was separated into varying waste streams prior to being removed from site, to help achieve a 98% recycling rate.
